August 2011

Dear supporter,

We are both happy and sad, summer fruit season is half way through. It is a happy time because we witnessed millions of pounds of peaches that were processed that will go all over the world to hundreds or people who need food. But it is also a sad time as we say good bye to people who have been around for a while and have made relationships with them.

Someone came up to me one day and asked if it was hard to stay and watch people come and go. My answer was that it is very hard to stay here week after week and watch as new people come on Sunday and then leave on Saturday. To have only 7 days with over a hundred people, it isn’t much time to get to know people. But if you work hard enough you can find some awesome people.
The Summer Staff have been awesome this year and we are sad to see them start to leave. We wish they could stay longer but we know they need to go back to their own families. We hope and pray that they might come back the next year. It is always fun to look forward to the next
year and try to figure out who will come back or not.

‘During the summer we have what we call a Love Feast. On Fridays everyone gets as dressy or casually dressy as they can and we have dinner and a little program. I’ve been doing sign language to the song “Shout to the Lord” with a few other girls. It has been an awesome time and the speakers are amazing. We’ve had amazing prophecies and the fire of God has fallen many times each week.

Jason and I got to know a really great couple, Monica and Tylor. They were on Summer Staff and just last week they got engaged here. Tylor is almost like Jason’s twin, both having similar personalities and thought processes. Monica and I bonded over writing as Monica is a journalist and I love writing in general.

                                                                God Bless you,
                                                                               Jason and Jackie Taylor
